Good Training in Antigua

The Good Hotel Antigua was created to generate a structural income for the Niños de Guatemala Foundation, as well as jobs for the communities where the Foundation is active. As such, the training program in Guatemala serves a dual purpose: (1) making sure the kids coming out of the NDG schools can pursue a career in hospitality, and (2) training the parents of the kids in the NDG schools, to give them a stable income.

Meet Thelma

Thelma’s children attend one of the Niños de Guatemala schools. As a single mom, her role as a housekeeper at Good Hotel Antigua was Thelma's first paid job. Nowadays, Thelma and her friends also make traditional worry dolls for our hotels, and through this, we have given her a new opportunity to set up her own business.

Meet Melany

Melany was the first of her family to graduate from school, thanks to our charity partner Niños de Guatemala. In collaboration with NDG, Good Hotel Antigua offers the Good Academy, so that children like Melany get an opportunity to gain the skills needed to pursue a career in hospitality so that she can provide for herself and her family.
